Or, from the back of your closet! We will take you from threading both machine and bobbin, learning basic stitches, and simple sewing terms. Leave with a finished project. You will need to bring your machine, foot pedal, accessories, manual and cord.
T-SHIRT QUILT CLASS $40 (Add $10 to use our machines) Grab those wonderful t-shirts you've been saving for just this project! You will need 12 tees to get you started (each project will vary due to your desired size of quilt and number of tees you have.) 4-5 yards of Pellon SF101 (this is known as Shape Flex, and is available locally, or on Amazon) 2 yards of a corresponding fabric, if you choose sashing and a border for your project. T-shirts should be washed and fabric-softener-FREE
ADULT BEGINNER SEWING $175 for 4 Sessions (Payment in advance and pre-registration required) Tuesdays, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm Wednesdays, 10 am to 12:30 pm For those wanting to learn the very basics of sewing, beginning with how to use your sewing machine. We will add a new project in each class to help you build on your new skills. Supply list available upon registration. Projects may include, but not limited to, the following: Drawstring bag, or Infinity Scarf Envelope pillow cover or Pillowcase Tote bag Zipper pouch
INTRO TO QUILTING BASICS $35 (Payment, and pre-registration, required Click on Sign Up and Pay tab) Thursday, 10 am to 1 pm OR Saturday, 10 am to 1 pm This class will give you all of the basics of making a large size quilt, but on a smaller, usable scale! Each month we will focus on a new style of quilt by making one of 2 sides of a table runner, table topper, or 2 placemats. A Holiday theme will be offered, but can be adapted to color selections of your choice. You will need some machine use, and basic sewing skills, or have taken our Get To Know Your Sewing Machine, or Adult Beginner Sewing class. Supplies needed for most projects: Five 1/4 yard pieces, or Five fat quarter pieces 1/2 yard for border trim 1 yard of Fusible Fleece interfacing 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 yard for the back

Zipper Class - TBA $35 10 am to Noon Learn how to apply 3 different zipper applications. No projects will be made, however you will learn when to use the various applications. Bring three 10' to 12" zippers (fabric will be provided for you to use)
Lined Zippered Pouch - TBA $35 1 pm to 4 pm Follow up the zipper class with this great pouch project. Fun, easy use of your new skill, or if you just would like to join us in making this great pouch project! Supplies needed: 1/4 yard of Home Decor fabric 1/4 yard of any solid color 100% cotton, rip stop, double quilted fabric (no stretchy knits, flannel or fleece fabrics) 1 10" zipper in coordinating color
Make a Simple Heat Pack TBA $25 10 am to Noon This is the tried and true microwavable heat pack filled with flax, or rice. Supplies: 3/8" yard of flannel. Please wash, dry and iron. If no iron available, the studio has one you may use. 4 cups of flax seed, or rice, or a combo of both
Cross Body Bag with Double Zipper January 12, 2019 $45 10 am to 2 pm This is a great class to create your own cross-body bag with lots of plusses! Learn to add inside and outside pockets, create straps, attach a magnetic snap, and tips and techniques for making a sturdy, professionally made bag. Supplies: 1 yard of 100% cotton, Home Decor, Duck, or Canvas fabric 1 yard of coordinating fabric for lining Two 10" zippers You can use 1-1/2 yards of webbing for strap, if desired. 1/2 yard of Pellon fusible interfacing, or SF101 (This is known as Shape Flex) 1 magnetic snap set or Velcro-type fastening product
